Uncle Ben Eller back with a brand new Weekend Wankshop from one of my favorite players/homies in the world, Emil Werstler. Some of you all know him from Daath, some of you know him from Chimaira, some of you know him from his incredible PRS or Jamplay videos, but if you know him at all, you know he is INCREDIBLE! One of the most creative and unique dudes in the world of guitar right now for sure. He mixes gypsy jazz influences and some pretty wild harmonic concepts into everything he does, including this lick, which is from the solo of "The Machine" by Chimaira! It feature a blend of an A7 tonality mixed with Bb diminished ideas, a trademark of Django, Rosenburg... and Emil! Really awesome theory concepts you can work into your own soloing. Playing my hand-painted Ibanez RG520 with Dimarzio EVO and Gravity Storm set through my Kemper Profiler, using my signature BHL Wizard Pro pick. Thanks for watching!!!
