Arrival at Budapest Airport
Firstly we arrive at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (Frank List, I think we would call him).
There’s one main exit, and we follow signs for the 100E.
Be sure not to confuse it with the 200E.
The 100E runs every 10 minutes (less frequently overnight) and takes about 45 minutes depending on traffic.
Cost: 2,500 HUF (~£6 / €7).
Over‑65s travel free.
Contactless payment is the easiest method, though staff can help.
Where the Bus Goes
First stop: Kálvin tér (slightly out of the centre).
Second stop: Deák Ferenc Tér, right in the heart of the city — bars, restaurants, hotels, and “where the action is.”
Returning to the Airport
Google Maps correctly shows the stop.
Look for the Budapest information kiosk and the shelters.
Staff and screens make it easy to navigate.
If you don't want to pay contactless, use a metro ticket machine to use up spare change before boarding.
