FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IMPORT-RACING HISTORY TO THE VIRTUAL STREETS OF TOKYO. 🇺🇸🇯🇵🕊️ This Gran Turismo 7 Honda Civic was created as a respectful digital interpretation of the legendary FullBlown / Rev Hard-era Civic associated with our late brother Norman P. Peralta. In this video, the tribute Civic cruises through Tokyo before returning for another look in GT7’s showcase environment. It brings together three worlds that helped inspire this project: 1990s Southern California import culture. Japanese tuning heritage. Modern digital automotive art. 🕊️ IN MEMORY OF NORMAN P. PERALTA Nov. 25, 1976 – Sept. 26, 1997 Norman’s influence extended far beyond the Civic itself. He is remembered as a brother, son, father, friend and member of a Southern California automotive community whose friendships and memories continue decades later. After Norman’s passing, his brother Kevin Peralta and those involved with Norman’s turbo Civic continued the project. Historical accounts from the period record the Civic running: 10.86 seconds @ 118 mph and qualifying #1, ultimately taking the Top Honda category at the 1997 Battle of the Imports Finals. Those numbers became part of import-racing history. But Norman’s legacy is much greater than numbers. People remember the person. 🙏 May God bless Norman, his son Norman Jr., Kevin, the entire Peralta family and everyone whose life was touched by Norman. 🎮 THE DIGITAL TRIBUTE I recreated the spirit of Norman’s iconic Civic inside Gran Turismo 7, incorporating the recognizable red-and-silver character of the original while transforming it into my own contemporary widebody interpretation. This is not intended to replace, rewrite or claim to be an exact replica of Norman’s historical car. It is an artistic tribute inspired by its legacy. The build uses an aggressive RCR/Pandem-style widebody Civic hatchback to imagine how the visual spirit of this important Southern California car might translate into a contemporary GT7 build.
