HAS PROJECT MOTOR RACING ACCIDENTALLY FIXED GT3 RACING… BUT BROKEN ITS NEW GT3 SPEC CLASS?! 😲
In Saturday's YouTube Membership Race, we headed to Monza in Project Motor Racing's newly added GT3 Spec Class. This class is supposed to be perfect for community racing and leagues, with every car based on the Aston Martin GT3 and the aim being to let the driver's skill make the difference!
But unfortunately, things didn't quite turn out as expected… 👀
So, I decided to investigate! 🔍
In this video, I'm putting three different GT3 cars to the test in Project Motor Racing:
🏎️ Front-engine GT3
🏎️ Mid-engine GT3
🏎️ Rear-engine GT3
And the results were genuinely surprising!
The cars all seem to handle as you'd expect, with the front-engine car showing oversteer, the rear-engine car showing understeer, and the mid-engine car feeling nicely balanced.
Could this mean that Project Motor Racing has accidentally fixed the handling differences between its GT3 cars? If so, that's potentially great news for GT3 racing!
BUT… there's a problem! 😬
The new GT3 Spec Class is supposed to create a level playing field, where every car is equal and the driver makes the difference. Unfortunately, my testing suggests that this isn't actually the case.
So, has PMR accidentally got GT3 handling right while leaving its supposedly equal GT3 Spec Class unbalanced?
Let's take a closer look at the results and see what we can discover!
💬 LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS!
Have you tested the new GT3 Spec Class in Project Motor Racing? Have you noticed differences between the cars? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
