What if the warnings are right? The people who helped build modern AI are warning that it could escape human control. Others say the real danger is the people asking us to slow down. This film takes both seriously - and asks what kind of future we are walking into while we look away. THE FINAL QUESTION is an 85-minute hand-drawn documentary essay. As a thought experiment, it treats the Bible's prophecies as true for the length of the film and asks what they could mean for a world in which artificial intelligence concentrates power, makes resistance expensive and quietly takes decisions out of ordinary people's hands. It looks at Alan Turing's story, the AI race and the case for verifiable limits between the US and China, Peter Thiel's warnings about the Antichrist, the restrainer, the speaking image and the mark of Revelation, the very real risk of an AI financial bubble - and it ends with hope for everyday life and a challenge to Christians. A 25-minute version is also available on this channel. A note on fairness: this film is a thought experiment. For its length it treats the Bible's prophecies as true and asks where that could lead; the prophetic connections are my interpretation, not established fact. I am not claiming that Peter Thiel or anyone else is the Antichrist or the false prophet - I apply to his argument the same scrutiny he applies to others.
