LINDA CLIFFORD " I want to get away with you "

A great collaboration between Linda Clifford and Isaac Hayes -- done at a time when Hayes was really hitting his dancefloor stride! Ike's sound here is actually pretty great -- arguably warmer and more deeply soulful than on some of Linda's other records from the time, and without too much drama. The style works wonderfully for Clifford's vocals -- holding them in check and giving them great focus, especially on the midtempo numbers that sparkle with great instrumentation.
