Hi everybody! Figured it was time to upload something before you forget who I am :-) This song was written by Darrell Scott and has been recorded by Brad Paisley also Patty Loveless and then Darrell Scott had and awesome version. It's also been featured on the hit TV show "Justified". Anyway, I wanted to give it a try on the piano. It always reminds me of my Granny. She had this picture of her brother when he was about 14 years old. When he was just about 15 he left the mountains here in North Carolina to go up north to Kentucky to work in the coal mines. She said he came back home twice after leaving. Once in a new car he had bought, the second time he came home in a pine coffin. He had died in a mining accident around the age of 16. That was the fate of a lot of miners back in those days. For those wanting to learn the chords you can go full screen and hopefully figure them out.
