I'M NOT WORTHY...

The Unworthy is a first-person psychological horror game with some seriously creepy ideas behind it. I can absolutely see the vision the developers are going for, and there were plenty of moments in this demo that genuinely scared the hell out of me. That said, I had some issues with the execution. The biggest problem was the lighting. There were several sections involving the entity where it was so dark that I could barely see what was happening. Normally that kind of darkness can make a horror game more frightening, but when getting caught means losing your progress and restarting, it started to feel less like tension and more like I was being punished for not being able to see. Despite those frustrations, I still had a great time with The Unworthy. The atmosphere, concept, and entity encounters show a lot of potential, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how much the game improves by the time the full version releases. This one is scary as hell, and I think the full game could be something special.
