Pastor’s Deadly Sin Trial: Family Fight Erupts Ahead of Trial

Former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn appeared in court Monday for a hearing ahead of his upcoming murder trial over the alleged killing of his wife, Ashley Flynn. The defense argued that allowing members of Ashley’s family to remain in court could influence their testimony, while prosecutors said Marsy’s Law gives the victim’s parents, sister and brother-in-law protections to attend the proceedings. The judge took the issue under advisement and is expected to rule before Flynn’s jury trial begins September 17.
