Known as one of the oldest and most profoundly spiritual ragas in Carnatic classical music, Saveri carries a meditative and devotional character that unfolds beautifully through the master's voice. While Dr. Balamuralikrishna rarely performed Saveri in live concerts in detail, his profound mastery of this Ghana raga was preserved across rare All India Radio broadcasts, Doordarshan telecasts, and studio recordings.
