Occidental Torremolinos Playa Hotel Tour | Excellent Value on the Costa del Sol!

Welcome to my complete tour of Occidental Torremolinos Playa, a large beachfront resort in the quieter Los Álamos area of Torremolinos. In this video, I take you around the entire hotel, including the rooms, swimming pools, bars, restaurants, entertainment areas and the beautifully maintained grounds. The hotel has a spacious resort-style layout, with several buildings spread across a large complex. The rooms are fairly basic rather than luxurious, but ours was clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. For travellers who mainly want a pleasant place to sleep after spending the day by the pool, on the beach or exploring the Costa del Sol, the rooms are perfectly adequate. One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is its outdoor space. There are two large swimming pools, plenty of places to relax and a poolside bar serving a varied selection of drinks. During the evening, the hotel also provides entertainment, giving guests the option of staying at the resort instead of heading into town. There are three different dining options. These include a snack restaurant near the pool, a separate à-la-carte restaurant that is not included in the standard all-inclusive package, and the main buffet restaurant. The buffet was one of the highlights of our stay. It may not offer the enormous selection found at some larger international resorts, but the food was consistently fresh, well prepared and genuinely delicious. Sometimes quality is more important than quantity, and this hotel proves exactly that. The drinks selection was also varied, while the staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming. During my stay, I honestly struggled to find any serious negative points. Verified Booking.com guests currently give the hotel an overall score of 8.2, with particularly strong scores of 8.8 for both the staff and location, and 8.6 for cleanliness and comfort. Other guests frequently praise the spacious grounds, proximity to the beach, helpful employees, clean rooms and pool areas, good food and enjoyable evening entertainment. A small number of reviewers mention that some rooms feel slightly dated, that the pools can become busy or noisy, and that restaurant queues may occur during peak periods. Those issues did not significantly affect my own experience. With its beachfront location, good food, friendly service, spacious grounds and very competitive pricing, Occidental Torremolinos Playa offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio. It is a hotel I can comfortably recommend to couples, families and anyone looking for an enjoyable all-inclusive holiday near Torremolinos and Málaga.
