Celestial Sword - Nocturnal Divinity (full album, 2024)

Behold! the new full length album from the exquisite entity that is Celestial Sword, with an offering of elegant sepulchral, vampiric dungeon black metal, bejewelled with the blood of the ancients, laced with the sweetly intoxicating perfumes of devilry and silvery moonlight seduction. Those familiar with this project will rightfully expect an encounter with a most primal force, but the unexpected lies in wait behind each oaken door of Nocturnal Divinity. Several guests contribute to this tome, assisting their liege shade all eleven tracks with a full character; between the introduction of haunted chamber organ by Nightshade and Ancient Iron’s closing solemn march into the darkness, Celestial Sword is joined by Drugoth on drums, and vocals with further voice added by Zofie Siege (both collaborators with Celestial Sword on the excellent Miséricorde). The high count commands his familiars to his bidding, and the results are an eerie, terrifying and spellbinding submission to romantic primitivism that goes beyond culminating this project’s path to this point.
