In today's class, we did a test together to understand the use of Past Tenses in Brazilian Portuguese 🇧🇷 — Pretérito Perfeito vs Imperfeito!
There are situations where we can use both verb tenses, but the meaning, the sense will be different.
Pretérito Perfeito: the action has always concluded
Pretérito Imperfeito: it is always a process in time
That is why sentences such as:
O filme pareceu interessante. (this person enjoyed the film, the action concluded).
O filme parecia interessante. (it is not possible to know whether the person enjoyed the film or not).
