Digital story featured in Say Our Name: Australian South Sea Islanders exhibition. This digital story was developed with the assistance of the Burdekin Australian South Sea Islander community. Across the lands and waterways of the Juru and Bindal people is a place where the Burdekin South Sea Islander community call home. Places such as Seaforth, Rita Island, Jarvisfield, and Plantation Creek hold memories and meaning for the community both near and far away. People grew up here, some came for holidays with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and others came to work.
