Whimsical Spooky Tree with Brilliant Moon / Easy Acrylic Painting Technique For Beginners In this painting I made a blended background with a brilliant moon in yellow and white. I then used black and white to create a gradient of color around the moon into the darker sky. I used a fluid acrylic carbon black for the land and the whimsical/spooky/craggy tree. I used a filbert brush for the entire background and then a smaller detail brush for the tree. The black fluid acrylic paint flowed so well, the tree was super easy to paint with the small brush, instead of using a tube paint.
