Letting One Painting Choose the Next | Painting Three Feelings in Oils

What happens when you let one painting choose what you paint next? In this oil painting challenge, I began with one painting and let it lead me to the next. I wasn’t allowed to choose the next subject myself. Instead, I had to listen, look, and follow where the paintings took me. The journey led me through three paintings: The Chair, The Open Door, and Freedom. Each one has its own atmosphere and feeling, yet together they became something more than three separate works. This is a glimpse into my life as an oil painter: the painting process, the decisions, the unexpected turns, and the moments when an idea begins to take on a life of its own.
