A few days of action in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia (w/ drone footage)!

In this feature length film, we'll explore the former N&W Hagerstown district, which runs from Hagerstown, Maryland to Shenandoah, Virginia, as well as a short distance of the Roanoke District, which runs south out of Shenandoah to Roanoke, Virginia. Most of the footage in this video is shot along this stretch of railroad, highlighting some of the more well known spots such as the Compton Trestle, the Front Royal area, Elkton; where the 'Chesapeake & Western' branch heads to Harrisonburg, the junction with Norfolk Southern's 'B-Line' at Riverton Junction, and many other spots. Over the course of 5 days of shooting, Norfolk Southern was more than gracious with sending plenty of trains our way, allowing for lots of video to be shot at multiple locations. In addition to Norfolk Southern, a bit later in the video, we'll end up on the former North Mountain Subdivision of CSX, now operated by the Buckingham Branch Railroad, as well as a short chase on the Shenandoah Valley Railroad, which is the former B&O line running between Harrisonburg and Staunton. While most of the video is shot from the ground, I was able to get the drone in the air for a few new perspectives on old spots, providing some very nice aerial footage.
