Streets of Rage 4 V7 Cherry Mania Speedrun (40:03) World Record

[ENG] It was a very challenging run. I think I want to make this run even better and get a sub 40, but honestly, I’m not sure yet — I haven’t decided. The lack of a jump buffer and the randomness that affects how strategies play out are really hard to control. I spent a lot of time on this run because it was done on the default moveset. On level 9 with this moveset, the skip no longer works, so I had to spend extra time coming up with a new one. It’s stable, but only if executed correctly. Plus, two Kevins can get in the way — and they’ve already done that several times. If they hit me, it means restarting the run, so I have to rely on randomness. Also, because there’s no jump buffer, I had to rework some strategies that no longer work the way they did in patch 5. Overall, though, I’m pretty happy with the result. Thanks everyone. GG.
