Welcome Back 1309

The last weekend in February 2022 brought the "Welcome Back 1309" photo charter and a group of about 100 photographers to Cumberland, Maryland, and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. The event was organized by Trains Magazine and featured recently restored Ex- Chesapeake & Ohio 2-6-6-2 1309 pulling a short freight consist though the late winter countryside. Allegany Preservation Society members were on hand to capture this "first" for the 1309 and we are pleased to bring you, through select video clips, some of the sights and sounds from this interesting event.
