This is a recording of our webinar celebrating the launch and exploring findings from our report, Weaving Wellness: Intergenerational Insights from Southeast Asian American Communities. This webinar took place on Sept. 23, 2026.
Fifty years ago, Southeast Asian American families arrived in the United States as refugees from war and genocide, and today are the largest community of refugees ever resettled in America. Our report looks at what wellness means for our unique communities.
Key findings show that SEAA wellness is multidimensional, interconnected, and shared. As such, governmental, philanthropic, and community systems hold the responsibility for supporting wellness, through investments into reconnection and collective healing and policies that scale up communal care. Rooted in community, this research expands Western frameworks for wellness that focus on individual responsibility, to shift the understanding of healing nationwide.
