Restricted to outsiders until 2002, these ancient fortress-like villages have remained virtually untouched by modern tourism. Key Highlights of the Valley Ancient Tibetan Heritage: The inhabitants are descendants of Tibetan settlers who migrated to the valley centuries ago. They practice Tibetan Buddhism, speak a distinct local dialect, and preserve century-old traditions, daily rituals, and dress. Medieval Architecture: Both villages feature dense, stacked stone-and-mud dwellings with flat rooftops used for drying crops, storing firewood, and gathering—built specifically to brave harsh alpine winds. Sacred Spiritual Sites: Phu Village: Home to the famous Tashi Lhakhang Gompa, a 700-year-old monastery consecrated by Guru Rinpoche, making it the spiritual heart of the valley. Nar Village: Perched slightly higher on a flat plateau, known for its extensive terraced fields, vibrant chortens, and the nearby Nar Phedi Monastery. Rugged Landscape & Lifestyle: The surrounding terrain consists of dramatic dry gorges, high alpine pastures, and views of peaks like Kangaru Himal and Himlung. Locals primarily sustain themselves through yak herding, high-altitude barley farming, and seasonal mountain trade. ♦️ Follow Me On Facebook :   / 1dwhrmgmeb   ♦️ Follow Me On Instagram : @tensa444. https://www.instagram.com ♦️ Follow Me On Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@urspuku10?_t=...
