Explore Brønnøya, a peaceful car-free island in the Oslofjord near Oslo, Norway, on a beautiful sunny autumn day.
This relaxing 4K walking tour takes you across the island along quiet gravel roads, surrounded by autumn colours, woodland, traditional houses and glimpses of the sea.
Our 3.2 km walk begins at the bridge connecting Brønnøya to Nesøya. From here, we make our way across the island towards Middagsbukta, a sheltered bay and popular summer destination for recreational boats.
After enjoying the peaceful waterfront, we return along a slightly different route, passing the historic Brønnøya lime kiln at Sandbukta. Built in 1874, this preserved structure offers a glimpse into the island's industrial past.
The walk ends where it began, at the bridge.
With beautiful sunshine, colourful autumn foliage and very few people around, this is a quiet journey through a different side of Norway.
There is no talking, no music and no added sound effects. Just authentic environmental sounds, footsteps and the natural atmosphere of the island.
Enjoy the full walk, or let the peaceful surroundings accompany you while working, reading or relaxing.
