Measuring Up Adam Sullivan's House in Mermaid Waters, Gold Coast | Ep. 1

Before any window gets manufactured, it starts here. On site, with a tape measure, a laser, and a lot of double checking. This is our first project in Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast, Adam Sullivan's new home, and it's a big one: large curved windows, minimalist cavity sliding doors, and a front entry detail that has to line up perfectly with the cladding, balustrade, and door jamb, down to the millimetre. In this episode, our team flies up from Sydney to mark out floor heights, number every window opening for the install crew, and run the measurements that everything else depends on. When our laser level turned out to be off, we didn't risk it. We bought a new one on the spot. $800 well spent for a job of this scale.
