The 2027 Toyota Sienna Century luxury van brings one question to the luxury-car conversation: would you still care about the badge if the cabin looked like THIS? On Classic Car Secrets, this independent design concept combines Sienna-inspired family space with Century-inspired elegance, four individual lounge chairs, and a feature called Bedtime that deserves a closer look.
From the outside, the Sienna Century looks ready for a motorcade. Gloss black paint, an upright cabin, dark glass, and broad wheel arches give it an imposing silhouette. A towering vertical grille surrounds the familiar Toyota emblem, while twin horizontal headlight signatures and tall lower lighting frame the front. Huge 24-inch turbine-style wheels complete the transformation.
Follow the long body toward the rear and the limousine influence becomes even clearer. A nearly level roof preserves the cabin’s generous proportions, while the wide tailgate and full-width rear light signature emphasize its stance. Powered sliding rear doors, a concealed step, and suspension that lowers for entry make access part of the luxury experience.
Inside the front compartment, cream leather, diamond quilting, polished metal, and a phoenix emblem on the steering wheel establish a different atmosphere. A broad central touchscreen handles navigation, media, and vehicle settings, while physical controls keep frequent adjustments within reach. The crystal-style selector, wireless charging area, and covered storage complete a clean, elegant driving environment.
But the rear lounge is the reason to keep watching. Four individual chairs face each other in two pairs, giving every rear passenger a proper seat. Pale grey leather, substantial cushions, broad armrests, powered leg rests, heating, ventilation, and massage turn the cabin into a space designed around personal comfort.
Folding tables sit between the seats, creating room for a laptop, a drawing book, or a meal during a stop. A glass partition separates the lounge from the front compartment, with a large entertainment screen facing the passengers. Rear climate controls, charging points, chilled cup holders, and a drinks compartment keep everyday conveniences close at hand.
Curtains frame the windows, broad glass roof sections bring in daylight, and tiny lights across the headliner create a star-filled ceiling after dark. The appeal is easy to picture: a family conversation, a quiet movie, or a relaxed break somewhere along a long journey. Which seat would you claim first?
Then comes Bedtime, the signature feature imagined for this Sienna Century. Select Park and press the button: the tables fold away, the chairs move into their rest positions, and the leg rests rise. Curtains close, roof shades draw across, the entertainment screen goes dark, and the main lighting fades. Ventilation becomes quieter, the ceiling stars soften, and a reading lamp remains available. It is designed to turn a parked break into a calmer place to rest.
The proposed hybrid powertrain targets 400 horsepower, paired with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Air suspension and rear-wheel steering are also part of the design, supporting the ambition to make this large luxury van comfortable and manageable. The emphasis is on smooth departures, composed progress, and power that complements the passenger experience.
For fans of the Lexus LM, Toyota Alphard, Toyota Vellfire, and Mercedes-Benz V-Class, the Sienna Century offers plenty to discuss. Would four facing lounge chairs, a private rear compartment, and Bedtime appeal more than a conventional cabin layout? And could this Toyota-inspired design deliver the visual drama you associate with a Mercedes-Maybach?
The project’s $150,000 price target makes that badge-versus-experience question even more interesting. Its strongest argument is the attention given to each lounge passenger. Its size, four-seat rear layout, enormous wheels, and powered fittings also bring practical tradeoffs involving parking space, luggage capacity, and upkeep.
