Fidelis Usque Ad Mortem, Track 05 - Trees of Iron -- Christian crusader heavy metal

Verse 1 Iron helms against the sun, War drums sound from distance far. Swords of truth and shields of faith Carried forth, made the sands quake Shoulder to shoulder Men of God planted strong Answered the call to right the wrong Fearing no death, it's sting is lost Bridge They stood, they died When evil came they did not flee With steel and grace They held the line for the Holy Chorus Stand! Stand! men of faith Hold fast, with courage and strength Plant your feet no matter what comes Hold to the ground like trees of iron Verse 2 Now the sword lies in the ground The armor no longer made of steel But still the call to faith resounds And evil comes, our souls to kill The helpless cry for justice, The vain demand their due When men of God hold their ground Evil trembles at His name Bridge They stand, they die When evil comes they do not flee With truth and love They stand their groud for the lowly Chorus Verse 3 Almighty God, crown of our hearts You give us courage when we are weak When steel and iron fade away It's Your sovereign rule that carries the day So we pledge, before the plunge In He who long before us came Though we prepare to do battle The victory is in His mighty name Bridge We stand, we die When evil comes let it flee With hearts for God Let us stand our ground for thee Stand! Stand! men of faith Hold fast, with courage and strength
