Starting from absolute zero on a steep hillside, this ambitious build transforms a ruined landscape into a permanent off-grid sanctuary. The massive project demands raw physical labor and heavy engineering to conquer the unforgiving terrain. The construction begins with deep concrete foundations locked directly into the mountain to withstand immense pressure. Once the modern shell is secured, craftsmen wrap the heavily insulated home in classic Mediterranean finishes. They assemble a breathable terracotta timber roof, install advanced HVAC utilities, and hand-carve a rugged fieldstone facade. The grounds require carving a 200-meter entrance road and constructing massive dry stone retaining walls to manage hillside erosion. The grueling journey ends with a striking before-and-after reveal. What began as a muddy, overgrown slope is now a pristine stone villa surrounded by a newly restored olive orchard, built to outlast its creators. ⏱️ Chapters: 00:00 Demolition & Site Clearing 00:30 Deep Foundations 03:00 Concrete Superstructure 08:25 Heavy Infrastructure 16:40 Grand Landscaping 23:25 Roof Assembly 33:35 Stone Facade Craftsmanship 40:35 Interior Build-Out 56:26 Final Enclosure & Utilities 1:09:06 Orchard Planting & Final Reveal 🎬 Original video by borgodicciano:    / @borgodicciano
