7 Philippine Towns Where U.S. Veterans Are Retiring (They Even Have Their Own VFW Posts)

Did you know there are seven VFW posts in the Philippines? Each one sits in a town where American veterans have already settled. In this video I walk you through all seven: who gathers at each post, what a one-bedroom costs, which hospital is nearby, and what daily life in that town is like. If you're thinking about retiring in the Philippines, these towns show where Americans like you already live. And stay to the end: not every veteran can join a post, and I explain exactly who gets in. What you'll see in this video: The youngest VFW post in the country, and the Marine it is named for Rent outside vs. inside the city center: Baguio about $200 vs $400, Makati about $425 vs $820, Olongapo about $300 vs $500, Angeles about $200 vs $340 Where the nearest hospitals are, and how far you are from the VA clinic in Manila The history behind each town: from Plaza Cuartel to Subic Bay and Clark Who can join a VFW post and which document proves it TIMESTAMPS 0:00 Seven VFW posts in the Philippines 0:48 #7 Puerto Princesa 2:38 #6 Bauang 4:22 #5 Baguio 6:06 #4 Makati 7:45 #3 Cebu City 9:17 #2 Olongapo (Subic Bay) 11:06 #1 Angeles City 13:10 Who can join a VFW post 13:35 Which town would you pick?
