The Platters - Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered (BSN Stereo Mix)

Here’s the Platters’ version of “Doo-Dee-Doo-Dud-Nuh,” er, I mean “Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered.” This song was not on a single here in the U.S., but it was included on their first Mercury LP “The Platters,” released in June, 1956 and reaching #7 on the Billboard LP chart. To my mind, “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered” was one of their best album cuts, ever. Even if it wasn’t on a single here, it was on a single in Holland in October, 1957, and on a single in Belgium the same year, as well as on an EP that year in Italy called “Favorites, Volume 3.” In May, 1958, it appeared in Australia on an EP that was a mini-version of the US LP. Finally, in 1959 in Denmark, it appeared on an EP titled “Harbor Lights.” And love the way they end the song on a sixth chord. Something the Beatles were famous for years later.
