WoW Classic Cold Quests | The Mysterious Red Crystal | Warcraft Mystery

In Classic WoW, Blizzard left behind a mystery in Darkshore that was never solved after 20 years which is possibly linked to Illidan Stormrage, Arthas Menethil, and Gul'dan. A strange red crystal. Corrupted moonkin. A Sentinel named Glynda Nal'Shea. And, hidden inside the crystal, the remains of a humanoid jawbone. But the mystery gets even stranger. The crystal's model contains a connection to Illidan, while the location sits directly beside Felwood—the same region tied to the Skull of Gul'dan and one of the most important moments in Warcraft III. Was the Red Crystal actually connected to the Skull of Gul'dan? Was Illidan's missing jawbone hidden inside? Or are we connecting pieces of Warcraft lore that were never meant to fit together? In this episode of Classic Cold Quests, we follow the original Darkshore quest chain, investigate what Blizzard left behind, and build a theory around one of Classic WoW's most forgotten mysteries. And now, with Classic Plus / World of Warcraft: Forever revisiting the spirit of vanilla WoW, there's a chance these abandoned stories could finally be continued. Could Warcraft Forever reopen the case? The Red Crystal of Darkshore The Skull of Gul'dan Illidan Stormrage Darkshore & Felwood Classic WoW / World of Warcraft: Forever This trail may have gone cold... but in Azeroth, mysteries never truly disappear. If you know of another forgotten Classic WoW quest that deserves to be investigated, leave it in the comments. Disclaimer: I know the skull changed hands quite a few times before Illidan Stormrage got his hands on it, and I'm putting that to the side because that jawpiece is so close to its possible origin.
