Hi guys, if you like this video please consider subscribing to our channel to show some love, because these videos are actually a lot of work. :) Chapters: 00:01 21mm 01:57 28mm 04:03 35mm 06:03 50mm 07:58 85mm/90mm 10:12 lens flares Here are the exact lenses that we are comparing in this video: Canon FD Canon nFD 20mm f/2.8 Canon nFD 28mm f/2 Canon FD SSC 35mm f/2 (concave) Canon nFD L 50mm f/1.2 Canon nFD L 85mm f/1.2 Leica R 21mm Super-Angulon-R f/4 (31xxxx) 28mm Elmarit-R f/2.8 (32xxxx) 35mm Summicron-R f/2 (30xxxx) 50mm Summicron-R f/2 (30xxxx) 90mm Summicron-R f/2 (30xxxx) Olympus OM Zuiko Olympus OM Zuiko MC Auto-W 21mm f/2 Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-W 28mm f/2 Olympus OM Zuiko MC Auto-W 35mm f/2 Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-Macro 50mm f/2 Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-Macro 90mm f/2 (All black nose) Some findings: In terms of color the FDs are the warmest followed by the Leica Rs. The coolest are the olympus, which seem to be very neutral. The Leica Rs have a noticeable (and typical) green tint. In terms of sharpness and background separation it really depends on the lens. The 21mm Leica R is a really nice lens which is still under the radar in terms of price. It gives you typical Leica colors and still has nice background separation at f/5.6, an aputure where the canon gets a little flat in my opinion. The Olympus is the clear winner in that focal range, but obviously is insanely expensive these days. Have a look on how it has more background separation at f/4 then the canon at f/2.8 – crazy :) At the 28mm range i wanna point out the Leica R 28mm Elmarit, which has such nice Leica colors and a really pleasing bokeh (and still is one of the cheapest Leica R lenses to this day). The 35mm Summicron-R is probably the nicest lens out of the bunch and looks like a high end cinema lens to me, way better then the other 35’s in the set, although the Canon is sharper. The 35mm Zuiko is probably the one to avoid in you OM set – the 40mm (which is not a part of the comparison, except the very last shots of the lenses in the outro) is on par with the 35 Summicton though (in my opinion). In the higher focal ranges (50mm & 85mm) the Canon FDs really shine. If you stop them down to f2 they have the smoothest bokeh and are by far the sharpest lenses. Color grading: Color space transform in Resolve from Panasonic V-Gamut/V-Log to Arri Alexa/Arri Log-C. After that I just applied the standard Alexa to Rec.709 LUT provided in Resolve. I also applied a gamma compensation LUT that I created for myself to every clip before exporting – that's it. 🎨 Dehancer | I grade all my videos with Dehancer! ↳ Get 10% OFF all products with code: auftriebmedia 🎥 GEAR (Affiliate Links) 🤖 CAMERAS & PRODUCTION Godox 2400Bi: https://www.mediatec.de/godox-knowled...
