October 2026 Visa Bulletin: EB-2 & EB-3 Green Card Dates | India, China & ROW Update
#VisaBulletin #October2026 #greencard
October 2026 Visa Bulletin is finally here, and the new fiscal year 2027 brings important updates for employment-based Green Card applicants. In this video, we break down the October 2026 Visa Bulletin, including EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 Final Action Dates, Dates for Filing, India, China, Philippines, Mexico and Rest of World categories.
The October 2026 bulletin shows that the beginning of a new fiscal year does not automatically eliminate existing Green Card backlogs. Some categories have moved forward, while certain employment-based categories for Rest of World applicants have experienced retrogression as the Department of State manages visa numbers within fiscal year 2027 limits.
In this update, we explain:
✅ October 2026 Visa Bulletin
✅ EB-1 Final Action Dates
✅ EB-2 Final Action Dates
✅ EB-3 Final Action Dates
✅ EB-2 India priority dates
✅ EB-3 India priority dates
✅ EB-2 China and EB-3 China dates
✅ Rest of World EB-2 and EB-3 dates
✅ Dates for Filing vs Final Action Dates
✅ October 2026 I-485 filing considerations
✅ Employment-based Green Card retrogression
✅ What the new fiscal year 2027 actually means
✅ 75-country immigrant visa pause update
✅ Employment-based visa spillover explained
✅ What applicants should do after the October bulletin
✅ How priority dates affect Green Card processing
For October 2026, EB-2 India has a Final Action Date of November 1, 2013, while EB-3 India has a Final Action Date of January 1, 2014. The Dates for Filing date for both EB-2 India and EB-3 India is January 15, 2015.
For EB-2 Rest of World, Mexico and the Philippines, the Final Action Date is January 1, 2025, while EB-3 is May 15, 2024. China and India continue to have significantly different cutoff dates, demonstrating why applicants must always consider their employment category, country of chargeability and priority date.
We also explain the critical difference between Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing. A favorable Dates for Filing date does not automatically mean that a Green Card can be approved. Adjustment-of-status applicants should also verify which chart USCIS has authorized for the applicable month.
The video also covers the 75-country immigrant visa issue and why applicants should be cautious about claims that the end of the pause automatically created a specific amount of employment-based visa spillover. The script distinguishes confirmed government information from speculation.
If you are waiting for an employment-based Green Card, make sure you know your priority date, preference category, country of chargeability and applicable Visa Bulletin chart before making decisions about your case.
