Dance the Desert

Dance the Desert is Twenty-Nine Palms in the heat. Not daddy’s country club. Joshua trees, cracked asphalt, women still grinning in a town that says its name out loud. She came in polished and left with dust in her knees. The song is about a rich-girl summer that went feral on purpose, and the strange joy of finding out the wild life did not need her permission to take her.
