Narada gave Dhruva the sacred twelve-syllable mantra: ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय The mantra is traditionally known as the Dvādaśākṣara Mantra — the twelve-syllable mantra. We also explore the beautiful meaning of Vāsudeva. वसुदेव — Vasudeva was the father of Lord Krishna. वासुदेव — Vāsudeva is a sacred name of Krishna, referring to Him as the son of Vasudeva, and in Vaishnava tradition is also a divine name associated with Krishna and Vishnu.
