There's no turning back” Good morning/noon/after/night my friend, amigos, fellas, #WarpPipeChallenge buddies, redemption pals, and all else This was both the easiest and hardest (serious) submission to make so far I'll explain more below but firstly I did not get immunity last round Mainly because the audio But let me tell you I had a 0.05 score difference between the first place because of editing comprehension I am like 99% sure we both got 50, but then we can't both win, so they're like “the text was kinda hard to read” and then 1.9/2 I'm not even here to complain, this is funny as hell. And you know I like my funnies Also also also also I don't know if it was charge's or mine's, but the theme suggestion got in, and it was “songs under 200k views” Another note I love Celebration V2 and wanted to do it last round So we win these Charge was supposed to be my Analog Funkin buddy this is so sad /lh Okay now onto the HELL that was making this video I'm gonna do it like last time, because if I rant fully, this is gonna end up with like 2000 words Lyrics : The most normal process I'm not gonna lie Even if it took nearly a week The lyrics are about addiction (if that ain't obvious enough), because Partygoer to Party + Forever to Dopamine cycle to Addiction It was a bit of a struggle since I wanted some specific stuff for some sections that I typically ignore, but it all worked out Also there's so many one or two lines references that I don't think anyone will notice (Sonic.EXE, FNAF, Butcher Vanity, Dance Delightful, 炜ward Romance & Affection Addiction) Recording : My mic arrived :D My mic didn't work on my phone & iPad D: It works on my laptop :D My laptop makes loud machine noises D: I have a pillow to cover it up and the mic cable is pretty long :D Really weird recording setup D: Aligning : Go to the Editing section it'll all makes sense But this was hell Tuning & Mixing : This was the second most normal process I've actually been learning more about mixing because of last round And I think I got the hang of it now My audio doesn't sound like it doesn't fit with the instrumental anymore :D Also tried to do things with the backing vocals. Hope it blends naturally Art : Last round also taught me some things And by that I mean I gotta scale down the visualizer scale And focus more on animations So I did I would've done more if I had the previous mindset (especially with the angles) But nahhh, animation (It took too long to make anyways, there's only 2 days left when I was done-) Editing : FUCK CapCut on the iPad decided that “You haven't had enough problems” and updated somehow so that extracting is Pro now So I scoured Spring didn't wanna lock in overlays VivaCut was a watermark KDENLive & Laptop CC’s keyframes are confusing Phone CC lags a lot And so I just edited it on the iPad again and deleted the audio when exporting This isn't even to mention how this is, whilst the simplest ideas wise, the most TEDIOUS editing of any of my submissions Cut Corners : -Not much was planned so not much was cut. But -Originally the Celebration team credits were supposed to have their respective sonas drawn. I couldn't find them -BF walking was supposed to look to the front, or to the side. He ended up in this 45⁰ angle -The cheers were supposed to be tuned. It was too much -The choirs were supposed to be tuned to harmonize, but I didn't feel like looking up every note harmonization only to have a chance at failing. The game shares gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows from Flash games. The game has drove users back to Newgrounds The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat characters to continue dating Girlfriend. The gameplays are hitting notes with timed inputs while not running out of health. The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam in October 2020.
