PAMS Radio Jingles" "Series 31 "Music Explosion" "KSEL 950 AM Lubbock, TX"

PAMS Radio Jingles" "Series 31 "Music Explosion" "KSEL 950 AM Lubbock, TX" "For 1966, PAMS unveiled a series of short, punchy, brassy jingles titled "Music Explosion." An excellent package that put PAMS' 4-man Four Freshmen-style vocal group front and center. The four men who made up the vocal group included Billy Ainsworth , Frank Bloebaum, Jim Clancy (Bass Singer) and Marv Shaw, who provided the high, power-charged tenor. Depending on availability, sometimes the lineup would change. As I recall it, the story given by PAMS founder Bill Meeks was that he and another fella were sitting in a car and witnessed a building being demolished. Hearing the explosion, both men looked at each other and exclaimed, "MUSIC EXPLOSION!" Thus, a new PAMS Series was born. Sounds good."
