A Shot at Survival: Rabies Vaccination for South Africa's Fastest Cat in 360 VR

Veterinarian William Fowlds delivers a rabies vaccination from a dart gun to an adult female cheetah while her six cubs look on in South Africa. On African wildlife reserves, the transmission of rabies between wild animals and domestic animals, like dogs, can pose a significant threat to wildlife populations. Robust vaccination programs helps reduce the risk of rabies transmission in surrounding communities as well as on the wildlife reserves. As a wildlife veterinarian in South Africa, William Fowlds encounters a diverse range of animal species, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and giraffes, providing medical care, performing surgeries and rescues, and working tirelessly to protect and conserve these iconic creatures and their habitats.
