Mount Ritter // King of the Central Sierra

On July 16, I began a one-night backpacking trip in the Ansel Adams Wilderness with the goal of climbing Mount Ritter via the Southeast Glacier. I hiked 6.54 miles with 1,319’ of vertical gain from Agnew Meadows to Lake Ediza. On July 17, I summited Mount Ritter and hiked back to Agnew Meadows. I finished day 2 with 14.38 miles and 4,767’ of vertical gain. The trip’s total was 20.92 miles with 6,086’ of vertical gain.
