In this message, we are reminded that being filled with the Holy Spirit is not a one-time experience. Just as oil is continually used, we need to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit through prayer, reading God’s Word, praise, and worship. Looking at the life of Saul and David in 1 Samuel 16, we learn the importance of obedience, repentance, worship, and the presence of God. David’s worship brought relief to Saul, reminding us of the power of worship when it is accompanied by God’s presence and anointing. The message also challenges us to examine the atmosphere we create in our homes and the places where we spend our time. What are we allowing to influence our hearts and minds? Let us choose to cultivate an atmosphere of praise and worship and make our homes places where the presence of God dwells.
