I'm a Russian American now living in Saint Petersburg, and I'm taking you along for another day in the city.
Walking down Nevsky Prospekt, admiring Kazan Cathedral, and nearly crashing a street book fair while my dog Wobblegum chased a rat right in the historic center, I ended up inside one of Saint Petersburg's most beautiful buildings — the Singer House, built for the American sewing machine company and now home to the famous House of Books.
Then I came face to face with an enormous Pushkin — a fascinating art installation made entirely from the pages of his books. And somewhere along the way, I realized what this vlog could become. My adventures in Russia will take us from the Hermitage to ordinary neighborhoods, from the grandeur of Palace Square to a log house in the forest.
I talk too much. There's a story here. Come along!
And at the end, a sneak peek at where I'm taking you next — inside a Russian spa banya!
