Rutgers Welcomes 2016 Mandela Washington Fellows #YALI

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is one of only 40 U.S. universities selected by the Department of State to host 50 young African leaders for the Mandela Washington Fellowship, a flagship program of President Obama's Young African Leaders Initiative. Fellows will participate in one of two six-week institutes in summer 2016: civic leadership, created through a partnership between the GAIA Centers, the School of Social Work, and the Center for African Studies; or the sustainable business institute, created through a partnership between the GAIA Centers, the Rutgers Business School, and the Department of Chemistry.
