What is the primary purpose of the Holy Scriptures? Were they given so that we could win arguments, defend personalities, or become experts in controversy? Or were they given to make us wise unto salvation? In this Bible study, we return to the Scriptures themselves to answer that question. Using the King James Version (KJV), we examine the purpose for which God gave His Word and allow Scripture to interpret Scripture. Throughout this study: • We establish every major teaching by two or three Scriptural witnesses. • We test every conclusion according to Isaiah 8:20: "To the law and to the testimony." • We distinguish between the sincere search for truth and fruitless controversies that do not produce righteousness. • We examine what the Bible teaches about salvation, repentance, obedience, and enduring faithfully. • We consider the importance of hearing an entire matter before reaching a conclusion, following the wisdom of Proverbs 18:13 and Proverbs 18:17. This study is not about defending denominations, traditions, or personalities. It is an invitation to search the Scriptures carefully, humbly, and honestly, allowing God's Word to teach us the things that lead to life. If you are seeking a Bible study that lets Scripture define Scripture, this teaching is for you. *Key Scriptures:* 2 Timothy 3:15–17 • Isaiah 8:20 • Romans 15:4 • John 20:30–31 • Matthew 1:21 • Mark 1:14–15 • Luke 13:1–5 • Titus 3:9 • 2 Timothy 2:23–24 • James 1:22–25 • Ecclesiastes 12:13–14 • Proverbs 18:13 • Proverbs 18:17 If this study has encouraged you to search the Scriptures more carefully, please consider liking the video, sharing it with others, and subscribing for future verse-by-verse Bible studies rooted in the testimony of God's Word.
