I Finally Tried My HOMEMADE WINE... It's STRONG! | TDM222

I made HOMEMADE WINE from grapes grown right here at the Manifesto homestead… and today we're finally giving it a proper taste! 🍇🍷😂 But just how strong is our homemade grape wine? After weeks of fermentation, it's time to rack the wine, remove the sediment and check how our little home winemaking experiment is coming along. We've got around 12.5 litres of homemade white wine to siphon, demijohns to clean and sanitise, and another hydrometer reading to take. The original reading was 1.090, and now we're down to 0.990, giving us an estimated alcohol content of around 13.1% ABV! Of course, there's only one way to find out what this homemade vino actually tastes like… and let's just say it's got a rather serious kick! 😂🍷 The flavour is coming along nicely, but it's not quite ready for bottling yet. We're giving it a little longer to mature and clear before enjoying the finished product. Meanwhile, it's another typical day at the Manifesto! A friend turns up with a load of FREE reclaimed fencing and scrap timber, some of which could be perfect for our little off-grid cabin project. We also head out in the VW T4 Meat Wagon for a Tesco run, cook up a rather substantial sausage baton in the cast-iron pan, sample a tiramisu cappuccino and have a laugh about an interesting YouTube comment. Later, Bruno joins me for a peaceful evening walk around the Manifesto garden, checking on the fruit trees, enjoying a beautiful South Lincolnshire sunset and making plans for another cheeky Friday night camping adventure. Homemade wine, reclaimed wood, campervan life, good food and a bit of countryside relaxation. Just another ordinary day at the Manifesto!
