THE WOLF HUNTERZ Reactions THE WOLF HUNTERZ Reaction To Morphine - Have A Lucky Day (1994) UHD / HQ SOUND    • Morphine - Have A Lucky Day (1994)  UHD / ...   Session number 448 for 2Meter Sessies program Live at Bullet Sound Studios, Nederhorst den Berg, Holland (May 25, 1994) Mark Sandman - 2 strings slide bass Dana Colley - bari sax Billy Conway - drums #marksandman #morphineband Hi Travis and Suzy, So what did you think of Morphine? Pretty Cool, right? Like I said, they had such a distinctive sound that I have never heard another band try to replicate their sound. Unfortunately, we won't ever hear any more music from them, as the lead singer Mark Sandman is no longer with us. A really sad story but he was on tour with the band performing at a festival outside of rome, italy in 1999 when he suddenly collapsed ad died on stage in front of 30,000 people at the beginning of the 3rd song of their set. Talk about a horrific sight to see. The band immediately disbanded, and over the years, they have released music from their vaults, and in a really cool gesture, they created a music scholarship program in memory of Mark. Very cool. such a tragic ending to a great band, But I still wonder whether they would have ever gained more commercial success as more people got turned on to them. anyway, let me know if you enjoyed Morphine, and if so, we can do a much deeper dive later. Next up, a norah jones mega-mega marathon (20 songs). we also are going to wrap up beck, and so many of the other bands we have been exploring soon. hope you liked this marathon!
