Over the past four decades, and together with the ever-growing experience of its students and two instructors, the MANASIS School of Greek Dance and Culture has set unmatched, unrivalled standards, in execution, choreography and discipline. One of the school’s fundamental beliefs is to continuously strive to present a new movement, a new position, a new idea, differing from the customary formation, to show that dance too, just like art, evolves. ...we must understand where we come from, in order to know where we want to go... The Hellenic Museum in conjunction with the Greek Media Group, Ta Nea Newspaper, 3XY Radio Hellas hosts an annual GLENDI in honour of the Greek National Day, with an incredible line-up of dance, music, culture and flavours! Concurrently, the event celebrated the 31st Year Anniversary since 3XY Radio Hellas hit the airwaves, and gave guests the opportunity to reflect on its immeasurable contribution across our cultural landscape!!! Students from the MANASIS School of Greek Dance and Culture performed traditional Greek dances and hosted numerous dance workshops for all attendees! ________________________________ In addition to the hundreds of costumes from the MANASIS Collection, we are humbled to have the ongoing reciprocal support and mutual respect of a multitude of clubs, organisations and individuals from the wider community who have donated and/or entrusted us with their traditional garments for events such as this: KARAISKAKIS Karditsa Association of Melbourne and Victoria Hellenic Community of City of Moorabbin Greek Orthodox Community of Gippsland (Morwell) Institute of Hellenic Dance & Culture (NSW) Pan-Thracian Association of Melbourne Konstantinos Kalymnios Vicki Katis Νικος Πλακίδας Christina Tzamala Ολγα Γεωργιος Σβωλου Androulla Patsalides We extend our sincerest gratitude to: Management, staff, and volunteers of the Hellenic Museum , 3XY Radio Hellas , Ta Nea Greek Newspaper, and the Greek Media Group.
