Chayatsuji Kimono | Fukuro | Handara musubi Handara or half-darari is worn by Minarai or pre-Maiko, Minarai are somewhat like interns who dress up and join the banquets but just watch and listen. Their ensemble is half the length as that of a Maiko showing that they have not made their formal debut just yet The technique is similar of that of a full Maiko. Maiko darari obi are between 5 and 7m long, Minarai obi are half of that Its quite a fun knot to wear although its better if someone else does this one you, the result will be much better.
