Clayface had Amy closing her eyes more than most horror movies we've seen together, and she ended up watching William's face just to figure out when it was safe to look at the screen again. Meanwhile, William was cringing and smiling through the whole thing. So how much body horror is too much? In our Clayface review, we're talking about DC's disturbing take on the Batman villain, the effects that made us both wince, and why the movie manages to make you feel for a character who's doing some pretty terrible things. We also get into the performances from Tom Rhys Harries and Naomi Ackie, the connection to Batman: The Animated Series, and whether this really feels like a superhero movie or straight-up horror. Clayface is directed by James Watkins and opens exclusively in theaters October 23, 2026 via @WarnerBros and @dcofficial.
