Can an Amateur FIX a Bike flat with Just a Slime Peel & Stick Patch? And do they actually last!

I wanted to love these Slime Peel and Stick patches. They’re way easier to pack than multiple bike tubes. But as an engineer, I had to stress-test them. It started rough—I drilled a hole right through my first inner tube and completely ruined it. For the second tire, I used scissors for a clean cut and patched it up, I'm an amateur at this BTW. It survived one day at low pressure. The second I brought it up to high pressure? It failed. I’ll still keep them in my bag, but warning: these are strictly a temporary fix, not a permanent cure. I'd love to hear from others what I did wrong both in my application of the patch and in making the video, I'm new to both.
