9-Conduction Disturbances – AV Blocks & Fascicular Blocks

An essential review of atrioventricular (AV) nodal conduction delays and intraventricular fascicular hemiblocks. We systematically define 1st degree AV block, 2nd degree Mobitz Type I (Wenckebach) with progressive PR prolongation, 2nd degree Mobitz Type II (Hay) with intermittent dropped beats, fixed-ratio conduction (2:1), high-grade block, and 3rd degree complete heart block with AV dissociation. We then explore hemiblocks, examining diagnostic axis shifts, lead morphologies, and delayed R-wave peak times for Left Anterior Fascicular Block (LAFB) and Left Posterior Fascicular Block (LPFB).
