Walk into a Serbian pharmacy and buy what you came for with one sentence and the name of what hurts. This lesson gives you the opening sentence, the phrase that gets you medicine for any symptom you can name, and the words the pharmacist will hand back to you about how often to take it. In this lesson you will learn: apoteka, lek, recept, kašalj, dežurna You will pick up how Serbian says I need, where the verb follows the thing you want rather than the person wanting it, so one bottle and two bottles come out differently. You will also see how a word shifts its ending the moment it becomes the thing you are asking for, which is the move behind nešto za glavobolju. And the word apoteka turns out to be a two-and-a-half-thousand-year-old Greek storehouse that also gave English the boutique. Polako means slowly. Here we learn Serbian little by little. I'm learning Serbian myself, and the narration is an AI voice, so it trips on a word now and then, sometimes even the English ones. The stories are the point: they are what make the words stick. Correct my Serbian when I get it wrong, and tell me what you'd like to hear next. We learn malo po malo, together. #LearnSerbian #Serbian #SerbianLanguage #SerbianFolklore #folklore #languagelearning #Serbian #LearnSerbian #SurvivalSerbian #SerbianPhrases #Pharmacy
