Hajo is a town which has religious places of different faiths such as Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists. The Muslim place of pilgrimage in Hajo is POWA MECCA MOSQUE. The name of the mosque means one quarter of Mecca, which is the holiest city for the Muslims situated in Arab. I have showed the tomb of the pioneer of Muslim religion in this area, Pir Ghiyasuddin Auliya and in 1657 A.D Sujauddin Muhammad Shah, one of the sons of Shah Jahan had built the mosque. On the other hand, i have showed “BHIMAR CHARIYA” (Bhima’s Rice Eating Bowl) / ভীমৰ চৰিয়া in Assamese is just one and a half kilometres from the Hayagriva Madhav Temple, Hajo Assam. Accoring to Hindu history, the Pandavas had taken shelter in this region during their agyatvas or during the period of hiding. One can see the stone bowl used by Bhima (one of the Pandavas brothers) during the agyatvas. This bowl was used by Bhima to eat. About me: Hi Everyone!
